Lawrence "Dick" Hardman, 84, of Elkview passed away suddenly on Friday, Nov. 4, 2016 at his residence.
He was retired from Quick Delivery and a member of Clendenin Masonic Lodge126 AF&AM. Dick served his country in the US Army during the Korea Conflict; was a member of VFW Post 8516 and American Legion Post 61, Clendenin.
He is preceded in death by his parents, Johnnie Hardman and Mary Elizabeth Noe Hardman; his first wife, Erma Jarrett Hardman; brothers, Harpo, Harry, Charles, Jack and Bob Hardman; sister, Pauline Rose.
Dick is survived by his wife, Florence Woods Hardman; sons, Joe (Terri) Hardman of Blue Creek, Richard (Tammy) Hardman of Blue Creek; daughter, Joan (Rod) Hill of Pinch, step-daughter, Cathy (Bill) Jones of Rhode Island; brother, Jerry (Mary) Hardman of Walton; sisters, Eloise Gandee of Houston, TX, Ruby Withrow of Nitro. Also surviving is 13 grandchildren and 23 great grandchildren.
Service will be 11:00 am Monday, Nov. 7, 2016 at the Hafer Funeral Home with Pastor Steve Arbogast officiating. Burial will be in Elk Hills Memorial Park, Big Chimney with military graveside rites conducted by American Legion Post 61, Clendenin.
Visitation will be 6-8 pm Sunday, Nov. 6, 2016 at the funeral home.
