Robert Lee Hoover, Sr. 80 of Lizemores, WV, departed this earth on September 19, 2016 with his family his side. He was born December 3rd, 1935 at Witchers Creek in Kanawha County to the late Herbert R. Hoover and Nettie (Mullins) Hoover.
In addition to his parents Robert was also preceded in death by his wife Margaret Hoover, daughter Robin Elizabeth Hoover; sisters Barbara Ellen Mae Hoover, Alice Hoover, Mildred Hoover Brown, Dorothy Hoover Comer, one great grandchild Christopher Allen Roop.
Robert spent 4 years in the US Air Force. He was stationed in San Antonio, TX. He formally worked for 7UP Bottling Company of Charleston, H.O. Osbourne Wood Products of Twenty Mile Creek.
Robert is survived by his son Robert Jr. and (Lora) of Craigsville; daughter Sandra K. Hoover Bosely of Lizemore; step-son Robin Anderson of Anstead, sisters Betty Hunter of Pinch, Delice Hoover of Elkview; brothers Bobby Gene of Pinch, Harold (Kim) Hoover of Belle, two grandchildren Tequila (Adam) Roop and Fabin Cottrell of Cannelton Hollow, and lots of other family.
Roberts recent confession of faith was an answer to prayers by the Bible Christian Chapel, who took him into their hearts and are eternally grateful to God.
Funeral service will be 2pm, Thursday, September 22, 2016 at Hafer Funeral Home with Pastor Roy Baker officiating. Visitation will be one hour prior to the service. Burial will follow the funeral service in the Elk Hill Memorial Park, Big Chimney, with military graveside rites conducted by American Legion Post 61, Clendenin.
