Irene Myers Mann
Irene Myers Mann departed this life for her heavenly home on July 18, 2014 at
Hubbard Hospice House after a short illness.
She was preceded in death by her children, Marilyn Kay Jarrett and Stephen
Wayne Goodson; parents, Ira and Macel Moles Myers; husbands, Hubert Harold
Jarrett, J. T. Goodson and Francis Okey Mann.
She is survived by her daughter Carolyn Jarrett Pirnat, grandson Steve Taylor of
Harwood, MD, and three great grandsons, Perry, Clark and Simon Taylor. She is
Also survived by her sisters, Eloise Campbell of Elkview and Jane (Bud) Tremblay
Of Wake Forest, NC; her two brothers, Jack and Ralph (Sandy) Myers of Elkview.
She is survived by numerous nieces, nephews and cousins.
She was a devoted mother, wife, grandmother to her children, husbands and to her
Family. She was a friend to those who knew her.
Irene grew up in the Elkview area and graduated from Elkview High School.
Although she lived in several states as a young mother, she had been a long time
Resident of Elkview. Irene was an LPN and retired from Charleston General
Hospital. She was a member of Mt. Pleasant Baptist Church in Elkview. She
Supported retired Veterans programs.
Those that knew and loved her will understand the great loss to all of us. All
Of the animals who made their homes near her house will miss the kindness and
Especially the food she gave to them.
Service will be held Monday, July 21, 2014 at 11:00 AM at Hafer Funeral Home Chapel with Pastor Lee Swor officiating. Burial will follow in Keaton Cemetery, Elkview.
Visitation will be held Sunday, July 20, 2014 6-8 PM at Hafer Funeral Home
