Veda Virginia McCune, 87, of Charleston passed away June 23, 2014 at her residence. She was born April 1, 1927 to her parents Florence Proctor (Durham) and Benjamin Moore. Veda was a mother and a house wife who enjoyed her family. Veda is preceded in death by her parents Florence Proctor Durham and Benjamin Moore and sons: Carlos McCune, Roger McCune, Pete (Richard) McCune, Gary McCune and daughter Charlotte McCune.

Visitation will be held Thursday, June 26, 2014 from 11:00am until the time of service beginning at 1:00pm at Hafer Funeral Home, 50 North Pinch Rd., Elkview. Burial will follow at Durham Cemetery in Clay County.
